Five hundred years later, a spirit monkey is rescued from Five-Finger Mountain and named Sun Wukong. His master, his benefactor, the Patriarch Bodhi, intends to make him a mere pawn. But Sun Wukong chooses instead to become sworn brothers with the Seven Sages, while the seventy-two cave lords raise havoc in the heavens.
