In the digital age where information is surging, online public opinion has become an important driving force in shaping public perception and affecting individual destiny. However, when rational discussions give way to the torrent of emotions, and when fragmented information is coerced by power or traffic, a pervasive "malice" quietly breeds, and is quickly amplified with the help of media, social platforms, self-media anchors and other channels, and evolves into extremely destructive online violence. The book "Malicious" focuses on the phenomenon of public opinion violence guided and amplified by online media in the context of contemporary China and the tragedy it has caused.
