The Light of Mr. Fu's Life

Shen Ruochu wagered twenty years of childhood friendship on spending her life with Song Ming, only to have her resolve shattered after they registered their marriage when he told her, “You’re the answer everyone expects.”

On the night of their divorce, she is reborn in time, back at seventeen, on the rainy night she confessed her feelings. She pulls back from Song Ming and draws a clear line between them, determined to live for herself this time.

She never expected Fu Yanxi, the “mad dog of a young master” whom everyone in the capital avoided, to become the most tumultuous surprise of her life. When Song Ming sees her growing close to Fu Yanxi, he angrily demands an explanation. Fu Yanxi pulls her into his arms and declares his claim in front of everyone: “She’s mine.”

He once shoved a knife into her hand and forced her to stab him, laughing with a madness that was somehow tender. “Want to leave? Push harder and you’ll be free.” Only when Shen Ruochu finds a yellowed diary among his old belongings does she learn that his obsession hides years of restraint: “I’ve secretly loved her for so many years.” “I only want to hide her away, somewhere only I can see her.”

When a reborn campus beauty meets an unhinged man who has been plotting for years, and a childhood friend realizes his feelings too late and regrets everything, who will win this turbulent love story spanning youth and city life, where a “mad dog” has hidden a lifetime of devotion and she has emerged from her cocoon reborn?
