Rule Horror Designer: Please, Stop Dying

Chen Mo is a brilliant but frustrated game designer. Chosen by a higher-dimensional being called the “Abyssal Will,” he becomes a “Tale Designer.” Trapped in his rented apartment with nothing but a cold [Designer Terminal] before him, he is forced to turn his wild ideas into real, terrifying tale scenarios where people can die.

This is a cruel game and a deadly paradox. According to the rules, if too few “challengers” die in the scenarios he designs, Chen Mo will be punished; if every challenger perishes, he will be erased immediately. To stay alive, he must walk a tightrope and keep the death rate precisely between 50% and 99%. He is both the creator of hell and the only guide who knows where the path to survival lies.

Every design tests both his conscience and his intellect. Within the cold rules, Chen Mo must plant “gentle traps” that only the cleverest challengers can discover, leaving a slim chance of survival amid deadly peril.

Yet as he gradually masters the secrets of the rules, he realizes he may be more than a puppet. He begins exploiting loopholes in his designs to build up his own strength, while secretly guiding the surviving challengers in an attempt to uncover the truth behind the “Abyssal Will.” In the end, he resolves to design an unprecedented final tale: a perfect prison capable of dragging even his divine master inside, where it will never escape. He created hell. Now he will bury it with his own hands.
