In the 1990s, a mysterious research institute quietly expunges a scientist from its records. The scientist retreats to the countryside and establishes a secret research base of his own. Several unusual species arrive there in succession. They look human but possess animals' special abilities, and under the scientist's training, they become secret agents.
Each agent receives a top-secret mission: track down a map classified at the highest level of secrecy, marked with nine mysterious locations.
The nine locations are folded into different spaces.
The male protagonist, Da Ye, is a variant fox with sharp ears. After many twists and turns, he fights his way through every obstacle, following the signals left by a human scientist to uncover the secrets hidden in nine layers of space.
Through their encounters and bonds with Da Ye and other nonhuman creatures, the scientist's three daughters gradually find friendship and true love.
The male protagonist comes from a technological planet three thousand years in the future, while the villain Heiyaozi and the others are all products of the karma he set in motion.
Every accident has a cause. They pursue their own missions, yet those missions also shape their lives.
Da Ye's starting point lies on a circle. His beginning is also his end.
Here you'll find the most fantastical weapons and the fiercest love,
the most perfect chaos and the most vivid silence,
the kindest violence and the most intimate partings,
and the most adorable masculine hormones and the gentlest hunting rifle.
This variant fox, Da Ye, has a true identity beyond anything you could imagine!
The three girls are the wildest and most secretive twist of all.
Time will quicken its pace because of the same mysterious secret.
