The Devouring Emperor

The gale howled, lightning flashed and thunder roared. Beneath the ink-dark sky, an ancient altar gave off an eerie glow. On the altar, a figure knelt on one knee in a sorry state. Blood kept spilling from the corner of his mouth, dripping onto the ancient stone slabs, where it was instantly absorbed.

"Devouring Emperor, today is the day you die! You tried to devour the power of heaven and earth and shatter the balance of this world. Today, we will carry out Heaven's will!" shouted an old man in black robes, gripping a staff. Beside him, several powerful figures surrounded the person on the altar in a fan-shaped formation, each one's eyes glinting with resolve and murderous intent.
