Golden Cicada Spends Summer: Days Under the Old Locust Tree"
Protagonist introduction
Plot synopsis
The story revolves around the golden cicada's "one summer" on the old locust tree. Starting from molting in early summer, the golden cicada gradually became familiar with Old Man Chen's daily routine while adapting to the new shell - he would remember the time when the old man collected firewood every day, and could tell from the footsteps whether he had brought new tools; he would also slowly distinguish the "language" of the same kind when the cicada group chirped. With the arrival of midsummer, the new saplings at the entrance of the village, the herbs dried by the old man, and the occasional children passing by... These seemingly small changes are quietly affecting the living environment of the golden cicada. It does not have thrilling adventures, but it hides the subtle connections between nature and the world - just like the roots of an old locust tree slowly extending in the soil, with inconspicuous but solid growth every day.
