Thirty Thousand Elves [30K]: The Night Before Dawn

[War + Western fantasy + elves + industry + rule of law + World War I + Soviet-German War]

[PS: This has nothing to do with Warhammer (I'm sure of it).]

Powerful enemies surround us, while the humans who were once ignorant have now entered the industrial age.

Our once-mighty elven people are gradually falling into decline. At home, entrenched nobles and traditionalists are holding back our progress.

Even as our nation crumbles and our people perish, they'd rather cling to their useless positions than make the slightest change.

For ten thousand years, the elves were never weak.

Once, the elves ruled the world and held all the other races in check.

But now, with the arrival of a new age, we have fallen from a position of strength to one of weakness, at the mercy of others.

This cannot go on! We desperately need change.

This is no minor adjustment. It's a matter of saving our people from extinction!

We will cast off hunger. We will bring the civil war to an end.

We will begin reforms. We will begin industrialization.

We will make our nation rich and our military strong, and ultimately bring about the great revival of the elven people.
