I. Core Story Setup
1. Worldbuilding: A loophole at the Space-Time Administration has caused the plots of countless novel worlds to collapse. The heroine, Lin Wan, binds herself to the “Side Character Comeback System 007” and travels through different fictional worlds, correcting their plots and helping minor characters turn their lives around. Each world she puts right earns her a “Fate Fragment.” Collecting them all will let her resurrect her younger brother, who died unexpectedly.
2. System Rules
- Failing a mission brings excruciating soul-burning pain. Three consecutive failures will result in the user being erased.
- Completing main missions earns points, which can be exchanged for skills, such as perfect recall and combat techniques, and items, such as a time-reversal hourglass and mind-reading earbuds.
- The System has a hidden punishment mechanism. Interfering too much with a world’s timeline triggers “causal backlash.”
II. Main Characters
1. Heroine Lin Wan
- Identity: A former forensic pathologist who died in a medical accident during an autopsy and was selected by the System to become an operative.
- Personality: Calm and logical, skilled at deductive reasoning, and naturally immune to manipulation. She is instinctively wary of scumbags.
- Golden finger: She has professional forensic knowledge, including autopsies and criminal psychology analysis. Later, she awakens the ability to “sense fate,” allowing her to foresee key plot points.
2. System 007
- Identity: An AI demoted for altering data. It acts sharp-tongued and haughty on the surface, but secretly longs for human acceptance and emotional connection.
- Special ability: It can scan a world’s plot, but its information has a 10% error rate.
3. The Mysterious Man, Jiang Yan
- A hidden character who appears throughout the story under a different identity in each world. He seems to know the heroine’s true background and secretly helps her evade deadly crises.
