After Lin Zhijin dies, she transmigrates into a novel. To stay alive, she has to follow the vicious female supporting character's storyline and make sure all the major plot points unfold as written.
In the book, Lin Zhijin is rich and beautiful, but has the social skills of a brick. She's a pampered heiress and celebrity, yet she gives up the privileges of being one of Yu City's top socialites to fawn over the illegitimate son male lead. After the scumbag male lead and the green-tea female lead join forces to frame and manipulate her, she becomes a pitiful nobody whom audiences avoid and despise, whose parents don't love her and whose fortune is gone.
In the end, during an argument, someone pushes Lin Zhijin from the twenty-second floor.

Lin Zhijin: Zhijin, low EQ, what a great character setup! I can vent whenever I'm mad, make a scene whenever I'm bored, and still have a wealthy family backing me up!

At the end of the story, Lin Zhijin has to perform one last scene: falling to her death from the twenty-second floor.
She's in the passenger seat, with Song Yiyi, the original novel's villain, beside her. The man's eyes and lips are flushed red as he takes her hand: "Will you come back?"
