"Embers of Rebirth" is based on the movie "Lust, Caution". It tells the story of Wang Jiazhi who failed in an assassination attempt in a jewelry store. She thought she was certain to die, but was miraculously reborn after Yi Mocheng rescued her. After waking up, she and Yi Mocheng fled Shanghai and came to a small town in Jiangnan to start a new life. Once upon a time, Wang Jiazhi approached Yi Mocheng on a mission, and the two fell in love and hate entangled in the intertwining of desire and mission. Now, they have gotten rid of their past identities and stay together in a small town as an ordinary couple. In these quiet years, Wang Jiazhi gradually stepped out of the shadow of the past, supported each other with Yi Mocheng, and jointly composed a hymn to love that has gone through vicissitudes of life.
