Monster Hunter: Growing and Evolving into a Forbidden Being

(I won't take human form. I'll add pictures of monsters to some of the comments.)

As Lin Tian typed the final line of his rant in the negative reviews for "Monster Hunter: Wilds", a clap of thunder boomed outside his window. When he opened his eyes again, he hadn't become a hunter wielding a sword. Instead, he was a newly hatched thunder-elemental dragon in the Elder's Recess.

His scales were still slick with egg fluid. His four legs stumbled over glowing minerals, while his four wings flapped and stirred up tiny sparks. He soon discovered that this world was far more real and brutal than the game: a Rathalos's fiery breath could melt through rock, a Kushala Daora's storm could rip apart the clouds, and the Hunter's Guild had ballistae trained on every dragon deemed a “threat to the ecosystem.”

Using his knowledge of Monster Hunter's ecology, he avoided the territory of a Deviljho, secretly learned the Thunderlord Zinogre's charge-up techniques, and even shared a patch of shadow with a Vaal Hazak in the Rotten Vale.

When his lightning first shattered a hunter's shield, and his four wings spread to block the Lao-Shan Lung's path, a new entry appeared in the Guild's records: “Unknown Elder Dragon. Devours thunder. Must be classified as a new Forbidden Monster.”
