Oh No, the Cannon-Fodder Junior Sister Has Become the Sect’s Favorite

[Bright, sharp-tongued junior sister x gentle, dignified smiling tiger of a master x ensemble cast x beloved by the whole sect x sweet fluff]

After Xie Jingque was struck by lightning during her tribulation, she awakened System 007.

She also learned that she was merely an obstacle in the way of Wen Ling'er, the universally adored heroine, and that one day Wen Ling'er's admirers would throw her into Jiuhua Pond to feed the fish.

Xie Jingque: “...”

Damn cheater, pretending to be the heroine.

Worse, the System said Wen Ling'er would gradually steal the affection of the people closest to her, too.

Xie Jingque was heartbroken.

But when she returned after faking her death, Xueling Terrace was packed with people:

Her own brother was so worried he could barely speak coherently.

Her gentle senior brother had bought every pastry in the town below the mountain.

Her junior sister, an alchemist, was crying as she made pills to help her recover.

Her black-cat junior brother said nothing, but never took his eyes off her.

Her refined master sighed and gently ushered everyone out.

“Ah Que's injuries haven't healed. She needs rest.”

Wasn't she supposed to be a stepping stone? How had she become the whole sect's favorite instead?
