Fire Beneath the Ice: Traveling with Nott

(Apologies for any OOC.) In the dark years after Voldemort’s return, Hogwarts becomes a battlefield of competing powers. Celeste Frost, heir to the ancient and secretive Frost family, bears the motto “Fire beneath the ice” and the heavy burden of neutrality. She is Slytherin’s elegant ice queen, armed with powerful defensive magic and a calm that sees through everything.

Theodore Nott, son of a Death Eater, is a silent shadow imprisoned by his father’s influence and the world’s prejudice. Clever and perceptive, he suffers alone beneath his cold exterior, torn between conflicting loyalties and the torment of his conscience.

A Potions class partnership, a chance meeting in the library, and the frozen distance between them begins to melt. She sees the abyss beneath his silence; he catches the glow of understanding beneath her icy surface. Amid Umbridge’s reign of terror and the horrors of war, two souls cursed by bloodline and allegiance find in each other their only solace, through a dangerous secret connection.

But to grow close is to betray. Every time Celeste secretly protects him, she risks igniting the fuse that could destroy her family. Theodore is pressed harder and harder by his father and the Death Eaters, while his desire to protect her clashes fiercely with his instinct to survive.

When Hogwarts faces its final battle, every wand must choose a side. For whom will Celeste’s crystalline shield open? And when will Theodore’s silence finally break, and for whom? Is this love, born in shadow and despair, a spark that will light each other’s abyss, or an ember that war will extinguish forever?

Caught between Pure-blood glory, family duty, and the tides of war, the heir to the Frost family and the son of a Death Eater risk everything to protect each other in silence, kindling a faint flame of hope beneath the ice.
