The Black Ice Platform

In the thirty-fifth year of Qin Shi Huang’s reign, a bizarre murder takes place in Xianyang: Meng Yi, the Censor-in-Chief responsible for burning books and burying scholars alive, is found dead in a sealed chamber. Beside his body lies a Mohist mechanism token. At the same time, a prophecy spreads among the people: “When the Black Ice appears, Qin’s fortune will come to an end.”

Chen Wujie, a newly appointed spy for the Black Ice Platform, the Qin dynasty’s secret surveillance agency, is ordered to investigate. To his surprise, the case is connected to a palace coup from twenty years earlier, and may even threaten the foundations of the Qin Empire. As his investigation deepens, he gradually uncovers a vast conspiracy: the true purpose of burning books and burying scholars, the hidden mission behind Xu Fu’s voyage east, and the earth-shattering secrets buried in Qin Shi Huang’s mausoleum...

Blending historical mysteries, political intrigue, and the chivalry of the martial world, this is a gripping historical suspense novel. Told from the perspective of a Black Ice Platform spy, it reveals a dark underworld at the end of the Qin dynasty, more real than the Records of the Grand Historian.
