TNT: The Smile Files

Jin Yanxi is an investigative journalist drawn into a string of smile-themed murders, where she uncovers the truth behind the scenes.

The case begins with a bizarre incident and entangles multiple forces, with danger lurking beneath the surface.

She can decipher the codes hidden behind death.

She can read the cries for help in the victims’ smiles and get straight to the truth.

As part of an unconventional five-person crime-solving team, she becomes the key intelligence hub.

Ma Jiaqi is restrained and cool-headed; Song Yaxuan is sharp-tongued and devious; Liu Yaowen is aloof and taciturn; Yan Haoxiang is a drama queen.

Each of the four male leads has a unique skill, plenty of brains, and a talent for bickering and doting on her. They keep the story moving.

As the investigation deepens, a chemical plant tragedy from forty years ago comes to light.

She unravels one mystery after another and exposes the truth behind the smile murders.

The romance weaves through the story without taking over. The heroine stands on her own in the main story and chooses none of the male leads, though the extras will feature more.

The suspense comes with plenty of silliness, and the grim moments are punctuated by sweet jokes. Everyone grows and strives to do better, and the story ends happily.

In the end, she will use the smile code to change her fate and reach the pinnacle of truth.
