I Struck Gold and Found the Imperial Jade Seal

Liang Chen, an antiques peddler scraping by at the bottom of modern city life, comes across a mysterious replica of the Imperial Jade Seal in an accidental bargain. To his surprise, the seal contains immense power. It pulls him into its inner space and hurls him straight into the bloody apocalypse that followed the collapse of the Tang Dynasty: corpses litter the land, thousands of miles lie deserted, regional warlords divide the realm, and wild beasts roam freely. History calls this the Late Tang and Five Dynasties period.

Newly arrived in this chaotic age, Liang Chen is on the brink of death. With only the scant supplies and information provided by the seal's inner space, its basic System functions, he struggles to survive. He endures his first bloody battle, experiences the struggle and faint glimmer of humanity in dire circumstances, and rescues an elderly refugee, Feng, and his grandson, Little Shitou, symbols of hope amid the ruins. His fortunes turn when he uses simple blueprints and weapons from the seal's inner space, advanced for the era, to outwit the vicious bandit Zhang Scarface and seize an abandoned village as his foothold: Longxing Fort.

The founding of Longxing Fort marks the first sprout of order. But the expansion of his power brings storm after storm. The Great Liang has only just been established, and everything remains to be rebuilt. The light of order shining from the Nation-Guarding Dragon Jade will guide him and the Great Liang as they press forward with resolve in this new world.
