Synopsis:
Shao Xiao was a hapless guy whom fate had played a cruel joke on. The moment he opened his eyes, he found himself reborn as the eldest legitimate grandson of the Duke of Zhenguo, the top military family in the Tianyang Dynasty. He should have had the easy life of a spoiled young master, but from the start, he got his ass kicked and his whole family decided he had “soul departure syndrome,” making him the mad young master everyone dreaded.
In his left hand, he had a copy of the possibly genuine Nine Suns Divine Art. In his right, a modern soul with a death wish. Shao Xiao ping-ponged between “peerless divine arts” and “intermittent madness,” swimming naked in ponds, taking flight from rooftops, and dancing in the ancestral hall... His antics were endlessly inventive, driving his father into a scowling, door-god-like rage, reducing his mother to tears, and even making his aunt, the empress, wonder if his “madness” was contagious.
When enemy cavalry trampled the border defenses and refugees wailed in misery, this mad young master, whom everyone considered a “good-for-nothing,” grabbed a flashy sword encrusted with jewels and threw himself into the most perilous task of defending the nation, armed with a head full of wildly unconventional “business plans” and “artistic flair.”
Would he master his divine art and turn the tide, or succumb to madness and bring about his own ruin? See how this out-of-place “madman” stirs up trouble and writes an absurd, hilarious legend amid clashing blades and chaotic antics.
