Blue Lock: How Did We Even End Up Dating?

[Blue Lock Otome Fanfiction]

[Reader's Note:

★ Reo Mikage romance, written in the female lead's first-person perspective. Any shifts in perspective will be clearly marked beforehand. Please don't read if that's not your thing.

★ Characterization may be out of character.

★ I've only watched the anime, not read the manga, and have added some headcanons. Don't overthink the logic.

★ Love-at-first-sight trope]

A girl sat to the right of Reo Mikage. He thought everything about her was beautiful.

A red hair tie held back her jet-black hair in a soft, low ponytail. When those bright eyes looked his way, it was as if he were hallucinating, leaving him nearly dizzy.

He was thinking about her again.

So he followed his heart and turned to look.

A strange, inexplicable hope rose within him: maybe she'd look his way.

“So she's doing her homework.”

He felt a little disappointed.

But she looked adorable when she was concentrating. Taking advantage of the fact that she wasn't paying attention, he let himself stare without restraint, his gaze fixed on her.

The girl kept her head down. A breeze blew, and a loose strand slipped from behind her ear. When she noticed it obstructing her view, she tucked it back, looking a little impatient.

The strand she tucked behind her right ear always slipped loose again.

“Ah, so that's why she clips her hair back before eating lunch, to keep the loose strands from falling down.”

“She's so cute.”

This brazen stare...

“When will she notice?”

“Look at me.”
