On the night of the clan's massacre, Liang Uchiha wakes up in a pile of bodies.
The hole Itachi stabbed through his chest is still bleeding, but the wound has already begun to heal.
A line of text appears in his mind:
[System activated. One random skill refreshes every week.]
[This week's skill: Words Become Reality. As long as your listener believes what you say, the world will change in that direction.]
Liang looks at the bloodstained kunai in his hand, then at Itachi, slowly approaching from the mouth of the alley.
"You really think you've won?"
Itachi's steps falter.
From that night on, Liang Uchiha takes a path no one has ever seen before.
He becomes the clan head. The Uchiha Clan is down to just him and Sasuke, two cats, and it's up to him to keep the family afloat.
He gathers bloodline descendants scattered across the land. There are thirty-three of them. Nine have awakened their eyes, three haven't, but they all need to eat.
He plays cat and mouse with the Third Hokage. The old fox wants to use him as a pawn, so he flips the board and sets it up again.
He fights Danzo for his life. Root tried to kill him once and failed. Danzo should know by now that some people just can't be killed.
He gets inside Obito's head. Rin has been brought back to life. The question is, do you believe it?
He plays hide-and-seek with Black Zetsu. What gives an old monster that's lived for a thousand years the right to keep tabs on him?
A new skill every week. Sometimes it's absurdly powerful; sometimes it's so useless it makes him want to cry.
But he always finds a way to use it.
Because Liang Uchiha lives by one iron rule:
Whatever the skill is, survive this week first.
His left Mangekyo Sharingan can see a few seconds into the future. His right eye can trade his lifespan to save a life.
The System gives him a new card every week, so he changes his strategy every week.
Itachi asks, "What are you, exactly?"
Liang smiles. "An Uchiha who just wants to live a good life."
