Title: The Merit System Is in My Hands, and the Female Chief Minister Holds Power Over the Court
Synopsis: [Transmigrate into a deadly predicament and activate cheat mode! A woman disguised as a man maxes out her merit points, while the emperor insists on crossing the line!]
Shen Qingyan, a top engineering student, opens her eyes to find herself the daughter of a disgraced official sentenced to beheading in ancient times.
In a ruined temple amid a torrential downpour, her mother lies gravely ill and near death, while greedy relatives seize their property and plot to kill them. Just as things seem utterly hopeless...
Ding! The Merit System has awakened!
Do good deeds and save lives in exchange for rewards? She knows exactly how to do that!
To clear her family’s name and avenge them, she cuts her hair, binds her chest, and takes the alias “Shen Ming,” embarking on the perilous road of the imperial examinations:
- In the county yamen, she uses iodine to expose a forged contract and leaves her wicked relatives’ faces swollen like pigs!
- In the examination hall, her modern epidemic-prevention strategies astound the examiners. She takes first place in all three examinations and makes a name for herself in the capital!
- In the Golden Hall, a bolt of heavenly lightning strikes a stele and exposes a wrongful case. The emperor claps and laughs: “This fool is amusing!”
But the more dazzling her secret identity becomes, the more dangers close in:
- A hypocritical talent smirks. “I saw the hole in ‘his’ ear…”
- A powerful minister’s assassin hides a golden serpent pattern in his sleeve, and a blade in a burning building points straight at her throat!
- The empress dowager’s eyes turn icy. “A female official? I’ll make her kneel until her knees break on the icy steps!”
And most troublesome of all is the scheming emperor, Xiao Heng...
As he feeds her medicine, his fingertips brush her Adam’s apple. “My dear subject, this wound of yours… it can only be treated if you take off your clothes, right?”
On a rainy night, he tears off his robe to cover her exposed skin. “Bury the whole clan? I only want her to live!”
When she finally earns a million merit points and becomes a female chief minister, the man on the dragon throne tosses aside the imperial seal:
“The empire is yours, and you are mine. How does that deal sound?”
The heroine: a genius historian, using natural airheadedness as a disguise, a ruthless career woman beneath the surface
Not bad, it's very interesting to watch. I'm really looking forward to the plot behind it. Great author, come on! 👍
