The Secret Sequence Beneath the Masks of Gods and Buddhas in Journey to the West

[Lovecraftian Journey to the West] + [Sequence Advancement] + [Lord of the Mysteries] + [Dark Twists] + [Heartache]

The day I transmigrated into Tang Sanzang, golden cicada patterns spread across my right eye.

It said, “The tenth life of Jin Chanzi? No. You're the Buddha's failed ‘siliconized puppet Buddha’ test subject!”

On the journey to retrieve the scriptures:

The tightening band on Wukong's head turns out to be a living coffin sealing his soul;

Every time Bajie's pig face becomes 10% more monstrous, he devours one of his companions' cultivation;

The nine skulls around Sha Seng's neck are engraved with memories of my first nine lives being eaten;

Every time the White Dragon Horse teleports, it burns the protective scales inside its spine!

And I'm even worse off...

Every time I break a precept and use Buddhist magic, my body siliconizes by 1%.

When my heartache index passes 72%, the cicada patterns in my left eye scream:

“Spirit Mountain was never the destination! It's the Buddha's pressure cooker for stewing the Three Realms!”

Eighty-one trials? No! These are eighty-one rehearsals for killing gods!

When Wukong's Golden-Banded Staff pierces the Hall of Lingxiao, from inside the Buddha's brain...

Cthulhu's black pus spills out!

“Jiang Liu, choose:

Smash the golden band and free all living beings?

Or don the Buddha's crown and become the new world's ‘living tombstone’?”
