Though Wen Xi is a Quark, she has worked diligently for the Dark Tribe for over a decade. Just when things were going well and she'd only recently been promoted, her utterly unreasonable boss insisted on sending her undercover!
P.S. The female lead belongs to a faction that's half-villain. Though she's a Quark, she has little sense of belonging to the Quark Tribe early on. There are lots of original ideas. Basically, no one who should have died stays dead, and anyone who went offstage gets brought back. There are transmigration elements, but the female lead is a genuine native of this world!
The female lead has a special identity, hinted at throughout the story. It will be fully explained in Volume 7!
