The Memory of Temperature

Core premise:

“When your body temperature determines your memories, who can you still trust?”

On the night of a laboratory explosion, 18-year-old biological prodigy Yu Wen is rescued by a mysterious boy named Qi Tian. She discovers that this boy, who claims to be on his “seventh memory reset,” has an abnormal body temperature and self-healing wounds, but forgets someone important every time he gets hurt.

Even more terrifying, her bio-wristband can control his body temperature.

As she investigates further, Yu Wen uncovers a “Project Immortality” concealed by the researchers: every test subject is one of a pair of twins, with one carrying the memories and the other bearing the pain. And her mother was the one who fled the project all those years ago.

When Qi Tian’s body temperature exceeds 39°C, his fragmented memories will be put back together. But the price is that his body will begin to break down.

“Do you want the truth, or do you want him to live?”
