Deities awaken across the globe, and the apocalypse descends.
In Japan, Amaterasu commands the sun. In India, Shiva destroys and creates worlds anew. In Greece, Zeus wields thunderbolts with overwhelming might. In Egypt, Ra steers the solar barque.
Only the land of Huaxia lies in utter silence, with no god answering its call.
Other nations mock it: Huaxia has no gods and is doomed to perish.
Desperate, the people of Huaxia struggle to survive, only to discover that the ancient tablets in their ancestral shrine have begun to glow faintly.
When the War of the Gods breaks out and Amaterasu and Shiva join forces to divide Huaxia between them,
The Great Wall suddenly lights up with runes, Mount Tai roars like a war drum, and the Yellow River surges forth as a giant dragon.
From deep within the Forbidden City, an aged voice resounds throughout the cosmos:
“Huaxia is not without gods. Its gods serve the people.”
“Where are the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors? Where are the Hundred Schools of Thought?”
“My sharpest warriors, where are you?”
