"Have you ever thought about dying?"
This is the ultimate question many people have pondered, yet never found an answer to:
Why do people live? What gives them the strength to keep going?
My answer is just two words: "dreams."
People who have lost their dreams are no different from plants growing by the roadside.
It is because of dreams that people strive for things.
And it is because they strive that life has value. So people who have lost their dreams are no different from those who have lost their lives.
So, when "having no dreams" = "death" becomes the underlying rule of this world,
how is an ordinary wage earner, stripped of his dreams by the cruelty of reality and the weight of daily life, supposed to survive in a world that can only live on dreams?
The answer will emerge as the protagonist, Li Shilu, whose dream has been denied, and a girl named Xiyu seek it together.
And with you, watching on the screen, as their witness, they will press forward hand in hand and finally reach the "future."
