Nine thousand years ago, in the depths of space, a curse was born: gifted humans and nightmare beasts would be locked in a struggle to the death for all eternity.
To end the cataclysm, the mermaid Liuli fled to Earth, carrying the curse’s core, the "Devouring Abyss Demon Box."
A century later, the curse spread, nightmare beasts invaded, and gifted humans emerged from hiding. Humanity struggled to survive in the narrow space between them.
The mermaid Liuli, who had become parasitic in Chu Yunxiao’s mind, trapped a powerful enemy. Was she the one who would end it all, or a harbinger of disaster? Was the demon box she spoke of a hope or a trap?
Chu Yunxiao had no choice but to awaken the power of "Enlightenment" and seek the key to rewriting the curse.
When Liuli fell asleep, the burden of guarding the demon box fell on his shoulders.
Facing three crises at once, hunted by nightmare beasts, coveted by gifted humans, and mistrusted by humanity, could this frail boy protect the forbidden demon box and undo an age-old curse?
The choice he made would determine the fate of two worlds.
