Drifting into the Haunted Room

Mild Horror + No Stupid Decisions + Narrative-Driven + Slow Pacing + Large Cast

In her previous life, Shen Qingyue was a brilliant but ill-fated rising forensic pathologist. Just as she was about to expose a shocking conspiracy, her life was cut short by a murder disguised as an accident. As her consciousness faded, she saw the killer's blurred, cold smile.

When she opened her eyes again, she had returned to three years earlier, to the crossroads of her fate. She had just joined the Municipal Public Security Bureau's Criminal Investigation Squad and been drawn into the scene of her first major case, the “Rainy Night Severed Finger Case”!

Carrying the hatred and bone-deep fear she could not leave behind in her previous life, along with her obsession with the truth, Shen Qingyue resolves to defy fate and change her destiny. Not only will she track down the real culprit who killed her in her previous life, she will also use her ability to “foresee” events to prevent tragedies that have yet to happen but are destined to be brutal, and expose the dark threads hidden beneath the city's glittering surface.

Yet changing the past is like dancing on a spiderweb: every intervention sends out new ripples. Familiar cases take unexpected turns, unknown enemies quietly emerge, and even her colleagues seem to harbor secrets. When trust becomes a luxury and the advantage of being a “seer” gradually disappears, Shen Qingyue discovers that the greatest mystery is the truth behind her own rebirth... This time, can she piece together the whole truth in the narrow space between time and crime, and protect everything she holds dear?
