Xiang Nan × Yan Chonglan
Simply put, this is a story about a man who becomes his own stand-in.
At fourteen, Xiang Nan was in a car accident that nearly cost him a leg. That was when he met Doubao Gege, a gentle, fragile boy who had spent years in the hospital because of an illness. During the painful years of rehabilitation, Doubao Gege was Xiang Nan’s sweetest reward. Then Doubao Gege went abroad for rehabilitation, and the two lost touch.
Twelve years later, twenty-six-year-old Xiang Nan meets Yan Chonglan through a business project. Yan looks just like Doubao Gege. With his rakish, unserious personality and endless history of philandering, Yan repulses Xiang Nan, who can’t stand seeing a man with his beloved’s face fool around everywhere. He refuses to work with Yan, but because their families have been friends for generations, he has no choice but to let Yan’s film crew stay at his family’s hotel. He hates Yan, yet finds himself drawn to him all the same, until he finally loses control and insists Yan stay by his side, never looking at anyone else again.
