Shi Qing waited for a thousand years, clinging to life with the resentment and evil spirits of the ghosts by the River of Forgetfulness. When his wish was finally granted, the beloved who should have been as beautiful as a celestial being had become a monster, mad and demonic.
Once peerless, he now approached the one he loved with utmost care, trembling as he dared to test the waters bit by bit.
He feared his beloved would despise his broken body and his frenzied, ferocious nature. He feared that after waiting a thousand years, all he would get was a cruel false hope.
But Jiang Ci's love for him seemed to need no reason, and could cross countless cycles of reincarnation.
In the end, Shi Qing received all the love in his beloved's eyes, spoiled until he was thoroughly spoiled and capricious.
