A strange creature with a lizard’s head, a dragon’s body, and a finned tail burst out of the middle of the book’s pages. It landed and skidded three meters, hitting the coffee table dead-on. The remote flew straight under the sofa, without even getting a chance to struggle.
The thing shook its head, flicked its tail, put its hands on its hips, and looked up at the sky. Its voice was so embarrassingly over-the-top, it could make room for three bedrooms and a living room:
“Mortal woman! You activated the seal with your bloodline and have become the key Host to my release! This is Heaven’s will, and the fate that binds us!”
