A Quiet Daily Life with the Gods

Xie Ziqi, a god who died a thousand years ago, has returned to the mortal world in the form of a cat.

Now stripped of divine power, he can get hungry and sick, and he refuses to go outside because of the discomfort of hiding his inhuman traits.

Mu Qingzhu, once a subordinate of the god in his previous life, is now a freelance photographer.

By a twist of fate, Mu Qingzhu and Xie Ziqi meet and recognize each other at Ning’an Temple, beginning a chaotic life together under one roof.

Whenever Mu Qingzhu checks his credit card bill at the end of the month, he can’t help asking himself: Why did I give in back then?

Still, regret it as he might, whenever he passes the market, he picks up some of the god’s favorite foods to bring home.

Having grown used to this everyday life, Mu Qingzhu cannot foresee where an otherwise ordinary trip to pick someone up from the station will lead.
