Snow of Spring's Return

[Ensemble Cast + Ancient-Era Political Intrigue + Infinite-Flow + Everyone Gets a Bad Ending]

“Stay alive.” The girl clutched half a dry flatbread and looked up, bewildered. In the mirror, the woman general had already drawn her sword, its cold gleam illuminating corpses scattered across the fields. “Remember, the spear in your hands isn’t meant to protect anyone. It’s meant to cleave open the heavens above Great Xia.”

From the back courtyards of a grand estate to the frontier command, she climbs over schemes and bones. At every step, a voice from the future offers guidance at her ear, yet every step also takes her farther from the person she remembers being. With the court locked in bitter power struggles and enemies closing in on all sides, she finally reaches the pinnacle of power, only to realize that her future self never told her how it all ends

Will the snow that falls years too late wash away the bloodshed and bring redemption, or foretell a mass grave?

And the “self” who is always guiding her from the shadows: is there compassion in her eyes, born of experience, or the cold indifference of someone moving pieces on a board?
