On the first day of high school, that familiar face appeared before her once more. Could it really be him? The name was the same, and she froze.

When that familiar little mirror appeared before him, Lu Qingyan knew for sure: it was her best friend from childhood.

Her best friend, Chen Yinian, was an exceptionally hardworking top student, yet he got just 27 points in physics.

His mother was extremely strict with him. There were cameras in his bedroom, the door was broken, and piles of exam papers and workbooks kept him under constant pressure to study.

Lu Qingyan was the only girl his mother allowed to get close to him. That closeness lasted a lifetime.

As adults, they were inseparable every moment of the day. A good relationship meant that both people were willing to indulge each other, and that was exactly what they did.

She was always saying how good he was at flirting, never realizing she was just as good herself.

The hibiscus represents love that grows from youthful innocence into maturity. Jasmine means, “You are mine.” I am your hibiscus, and you are my jasmine.

“They say the long, bright days of summer are made for secret crushes. So are autumn and winter made for falling in love?”

“One day, I went to the aquarium with my little cat. He said jellyfish were the shining eyes of the water, and my eyes were often bright too, stirring the deepest love in his heart.”
