Hong Kong Crossover: A Strange Adventure

Before transmigrating, Chen Ye was an extreme-sports blogger. While venturing deep into an uninhabited region to film a wilderness survival video, he was caught in a thunderstorm and transmigrated. Skilled at surviving in the wild and adapting on the fly, he has a bold, unconventional personality.

In 1970, a flash of blue light exploded over the beach at Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter. The naked transmigrator had barely burst out of the water when fishermen surrounded him, taking him for an illegal immigrant. As he fled in a panic, he saw the names of characters from Hong Kong films like The Greed of Man, I Corrupt All Cops, and To Be Number One floating above his pursuers: the tenacity of Ding Xie, Tsui Lok-kung’s network of informants, and even Ng Kwok-ho, who had yet to make his name. They were all there!

The neon lights of Tsim Sha Tsui had yet to come on, and the cha chaan tengs of Mong Kok reeked of blood. He discovered that this world was a tangle of secret battles between cops and criminals, gangland shootouts, street fights between triad youths, and the ever-present shadow of international crime syndicates trafficking arms. Armed with nothing but his all-seeing eyes, which could see people’s real names, how could this bare-assed intruder find his footing in the whirlpool of money and power? With guns from both sides of the law trained on him, watch him stir up a storm and rewrite the history of Hong Kong cinema from the beach onward!
