Liu Yuan transmigrates through time and lands straight in Zhang Fei's peach garden in Zhuo Commandery, at the end of the Eastern Han dynasty, just as Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei are preparing to swear brotherhood. The three regard him as a “heaven-sent stranger.” After he displays extraordinary insight and courage, they invite him to join their oath as their fourth brother. With knowledge of what lies ahead and the strength of their brotherhood, he helps his eldest brother Liu Bei change Shu Han's fate, ultimately uniting the realm and averting tragedy.
