[The chase-her-to-the-crematorium trope + past and present lives + sickly, obsessive love + slowly recovering memories + both imprisoned + mutual torment and hatred + love and hate + identity revealed] (I rewrote it, but the setup is pretty much the same. Basically, it’s a story about a beautiful, powerful, tragic man being saved.)
[A ruthless demon-ghost lord who rules over two realms × an adorable, softhearted butterfly demon × a righteous young lady who just wants to stay alive]
Actually, I feel like it could also be called My Ex-Husband Was Once a Beautiful, Tragic Man.
When the first snow of winter fell upon the mortal world, I died in the deepest part of the Bitter Abyss.
I returned to five hundred years ago and became a young lady from a wealthy family in the mortal world. I thought I’d never see Tan Jingsheng again in this life.
Until one day, I saw the black snake in the demon pen at the estate.

Five hundred years ago, demons were raised in captivity in the mortal world. People considered them even lower and more contemptible than servants.
And five hundred years ago, Tan Chunsheng was the lowliest demon slave in the demon pen.
Back then, he was only a little snake demon.
One winter, in some forgotten year, he was deceived, had his heart and demon core cut out, and died on a snowy night. Later, a demon-ghost appeared in the world.
A fiend who reforged a demon core with a ghost’s body, he was the first demon-ghost in the world.
**
Three hundred years later…
“Tan Chunsheng, don’t let anyone deceive you in your next life.”
“Tan Chunsheng, stop loving me. Love someone else. As long as it isn’t me, you’ll be able to live a good life.”
A note:
A short-to-medium-length story, just something I wrote for fun.
The characters’ values follow my whims. If you don’t like it, please be kind in the comments.

The female lead is extremely beautiful.
