A Star-Track Deviation for the Young and Restless

I love building parallel worlds through words, and believe every story holds countless possibilities. I’m especially fond of the tender feelings of youth, and skilled at piecing together everyday moments to capture the heartbeats hidden in time.

While writing "Misaligned Stars", I kept wondering: If the people in a story knew how it would end, what different choices would they make? And so this story came to be, about a girl who transmigrates into a book and a gifted schoolboy. Through the summer cicadas of Jiangzhou and the starlight at the observatory, I wanted to tell a story of “setting things right” and “being someone’s favorite” in youth: it turns out that no predetermined path can outweigh the genuine desire, in a single moment, to make your way toward someone.

The story has a warm, sweet, and healing style, with little bits of sweetness tucked into the details. I hope this coming-of-age story with a transmigration premise will remind you of the name and feelings you once hid on the back of your worksheets at seventeen.
