In the winter of 1954, in a courtyard house in the capital, fifteen-year-old Luo Ning, an orphan of a fallen hero, takes his last breath.
When he opens his eyes again, he has become a young man from a later era with the same name.
All around him are “beasts” coveting his family’s property.
Yi Zhonghai schemes to get his hands on the money meant to raise him, Jia Zhangshi throws tantrums and plays dirty, and Yan Bugui is a master schemer. Luo Ning clenches his fists.
The blood of the heroes must never be sullied by this pack of parasites!
Watch as he holds on to his food rations through the shortages and protects his family through turbulent times.
He’ll make the words “descendant of a fallen hero” the strongest source of confidence he has in that era.
The courtyard, a place outside the law, is full of loyal and useless people.
Having evidence but not reporting it to the public is not something a normal person can do.
