Going Crazy in a Crazy Novel: The Leads Admit Defeat

I was an overworked corporate drone who worked myself to death. With my eyes closed, all I saw was my boss dangling empty promises; when I opened them, the System was pushing me to work myself to the bone. You can skip the first world if you don't like how it's written.

"Congratulations on binding to the Crazy Grind System!" The System's electronic voice was even more annoying than my alarm clock had been when I was alive. "Transmigrate through ten deranged novels and score a perfect hundred by out-grinding the crazies, and you can come back to life. Remember, you have to be crazier, more driven, and more shameless than the male and female leads!"

I looked at the crazy couple in the first world, clutching cleavers and shouting "I love you" at each other, and silently picked up a brick from the ground. A grind, huh? Bring it on. I ground for KPIs when I was alive, and now I have to out-crazy the crazies after death. Looks like I'll be chained to the grind for life.

I just wonder if I'll come back to life as a human propeller after grinding through ten worlds. The System did say that if I fail to score a perfect hundred, I'll be stuck in the book forever as a crazy background character!
