The Tyrant’s Beloved Empress: A Marriage Swap

[Somewhat scummy + face-slapping + political intrigue, an accomplished heroine skilled in both letters and arms + a cold, ruthless hero devoted to his wife]

Lu Qingtong, the eldest legitimate granddaughter of the late Grand Academician Lu, was supposed to marry the Fourth Prince, Qin Yu. But when the marriage decree arrives, the groom has been changed.

The Second Prince, Qin Yue, earned great merit two years ago while quelling a rebellion in the northwest. But he was wounded on the battlefield and poisoned, leaving both his legs disabled.

Although Qin Yue has already been made a prince of the commandery, everyone says he is a bloodthirsty tyrant, and many palace maids have died in his residence.

Ordered to marry him, Lu Qingtong joins hands with her husband, and together they ascend to the positions of emperor and empress.
