Introduction to the work
This is a "Bedtime Story Collection" consisting of 38 short stories. It is also Zhang Jiajia's most representative urban emotional prose novel. The whole book uses a first-person perspective to connect fragments of love, friendship and family ties that happened in various Chinese cities:

Most of the stories start with "funny" and end with "crying", leaving a heart-wrenching sentence at the unexpected end, such as "The beginning of the story is always like this, just the right time, caught off guard; the ending of the story is always like this, two flowers bloom, and the sky is far apart."
In the year of publication, it topped the best-seller list for eight consecutive months, with sales exceeding 10 million copies, making it a phenomenon in Chinese books. It allows readers to find resonance on the last subway train late at night, under the desk lamp in a rental house, or at the airport delay gate: It turns out that regrets all over the world are similar, and we all shed our own tears secretly in other people's stories.
