[Two male leads + a ton of landmines and poison points + for now, just treat this as the original body + an author who won't change anything even if you point it out + it's such a mess, just drink it like a pot of stew]
The CP is Li Baiqi x Zhou Ri, and the order matters.
It's really chaotic, a mishmash of orientations and relationships, and the pacing is very slow, but the plot is very strong.
In a nutshell: One life after another, yet none of them is the one.
Zhou Ri is a transmigrator. He transmigrated into a world where cultivators and all sorts of things that only existed in stories were real. Fortunately, this world seemed used to people transmigrating into it left and right. But if he'd already transmigrated, could things really be that uneventful?
No! Of course not! How could it be so uneventful? He could almost hear the world saying it. And so, misfortune arrived. He had no talent for cultivation whatsoever. Even an exceptionally good natural constitution couldn't overcome his own laziness.
"What does my outstanding physical talent have to do with me being a good-for-nothing, lazy slob?" he said, picking his toes and digging in his nose. "I think it's great to stay holed up in this academy. I'm just a good-for-nothing, lazy slob anyway."
Then one day, the academy decided to kick him out because it was too poor to support him. To stop that from happening, he had no choice but to leave this peaceful place and face the unknown future.
You will see fish swimming through the sky from the Central Heavens, and the blazing sun shining like gold.
You will hear the moonlight pluck all three strings of its lute, and cross the treacherous heavenly chasm.
You will knock once more at heaven's gate, until the true future finally arrives.
It's not the kind of industrial saccharine sweetness. The protagonist grows up together. Recommended!
The writing is so good, so beautiful
