Rikkai's Team Darling Is Still Tearing Up the U-17 Courts Today

“A guide to properly raising the nation’s fiercest first-year: The Rikkai regulars say, ‘Thanks for asking. We’ve maxed out our civil engineering skills.’”

Kanzaki Ren, known at Rikkai Junior High as the “one-man walking tennis-court demolition crew,” broke school records the moment he enrolled:

Practice match net-destruction rate: 100% (the groundskeeper roars: “That’s the third one this month!”)

Drove Akaya Kirihara up the wall (“A red-eyed demon? He’s clearly just a fluffy, floppy-eared bunny!”)

Forced Genichiro Sanada to write A Handbook for Managing Problem Children (Rule One: No matches on cloudy days)

When the Rikkai regulars became full-time caretakers:

Seiichi Yukimura smiled as he signed a court-damage claim: “How about trying to demolish Hyotei’s next time? I’m sure Atobe won’t mind.”

Renji Yanagi encrypted his notebook, The Beast-Taming Observation Diary: “Feeding him strawberry cake when he’s sensitive to light increases his gentleness by 73%.”

Akaya Kirihara went berserk: “How is it cute when he smashes a wall, but I have to clean the toilets when I do it?!”

When the U-17 training camp began, a scene that shook all of Japan unfolded: the legendary first-string team had become a united front of “protective big brothers.”

Hoonikoin Phoenix tossed him a pair of sunglasses: “Kid, wear these when there’s thunder. They’re cooler than an eye patch.”

Shuji Tanegashima secretly hid some pudding: “If the old man Mitsune asks, just say you didn’t see me~”

Souta Irie excitedly directed The Making of Rikkai’s Demon King.

And Kanzaki Ren’s ambition was:

“To help the Rikkai seniors lift the U-17 trophy, and buy lifetime insurance for tennis courts around the world while we’re at it!”
