The heroine is a spirit healer. She can heal demons, ghosts, and monsters, as well as the living and those with ghostly bodies.
Yu Zhi, who had gone missing by accident, is found by her family in a dilapidated Taoist temple.
So Yu Zhi temporarily says goodbye to her master and her three adorable junior disciples, as well as the days she spent going up the mountain to battle monsters and coming back down to roast meat. With a spirit beast perched on her head, a water-and-fire staff slung over her shoulder, and a cloth bag on her back, she returns to the city and begins her life of healing and seeking the Dao.
But who could have guessed
The ghost of a woman trapped for a thousand years in a soul-refining array has a hidden story of her own. The strange incidents at school are caused by more than just a ghost bound to the land. A group of beast ghosts has inexplicably fallen into a living hell. A ship graveyard appears in a coastal city, erupting with powerful hatred.
And then there are the bizarre incidents that unsettle her cultivation
An angler makes a deal with a water ghost just to get back a fishing hook stuck on the bottom;
A wealthy family’s stand-in first meets a scumbag, then meets the real deal…
As she works more and more with the authorities, Yu Zhi gradually uncovers secrets buried for years.
Neither her disappearance nor her younger brother’s illness was a coincidence…
Her master, more than twenty years ago, also had a young and wholehearted devotion…
If you seek an answer, ask your heart. To ask your heart is already to attain the Dao.
