[Infinite flow + two male leads + equally matched powerhouses + ensemble cast + multiple POVs + dark humor + amnesia + rekindled romance + no sidelining, infantilizing, or feminizing any character]
Almost no one survives when their very first instance is a five-star one.
Unless, like Wen Xiangqing, you can drag a powerhouse along to fight with you.
Qian Yu is fed up with being falsely accused. He has refused to enter any instance, but this sudden stranger forces him into one anyway.
He thinks it’ll only happen once, but then he runs into the same person in the next instance.
It’s almost like they’re chained together,
Qian Yu grumbles to himself.
“Have we met somewhere before?”
“Impossible.” Qian Yu turns his head to look out the window, refusing to meet the other person’s eyes.
Darkness devours the mountains. Only a few spots of sickly green phosphorescence drift among the rotting leaves, while the stillness of midnight weighs heavily on the treetops.
Not long afterward, he takes it back.
They really have met before.
(The first instance is from Wen Xiangqing’s POV, the top. I personally think it’s written pretty badly, so feel free to skip it. The second instance is from Qian Yu’s POV, the bottom, and that’s where he regains his memories.)
(Please give it a chance. Writing this blurb made my toes curl in embarrassment.)
