The Working Stiff’s Daydream: I Changed My Fate by Doing Nothing

Workplace + System + unhinged comedy + satisfying comeback + humor + light fantasy + relatable to working people After being reduced to tears by clients, manipulated by her boss, and betrayed by her coworkers, Lin Nianwei finally snapped after finishing the seventh version of a PowerPoint presentation late at night. “I’m done! Whoever wants this crap job can have it!” But after falling asleep, she woke up bound to the Slacker System. Every time she slacked off, reality rewarded her! Slack off for three days and get a promotion and raise. Talk back to the boss once and the whole company makes way for her. Refuse to work overtime and somehow get named “Employee of the Year”?! While everyone else works overtime until they’re bald, she slacks her way to the peak of life. Workers are left speechless, and bosses are moved to tears! From the lowliest office drone to a business mogul and industry trendsetter, she gets there not through hard work, but by losing it and slacking off! Lin Nianwei grins. “To hell with the rat race. I just want to lie around and collect rent!”
