The Princess Ascends the Throne, and the Regent Runs Away!

Princess vs. Guard

She was a princess of Chu, gifted in both letters and martial arts, with talents to rival any man. But her frail body held her ambitions back, and she thought she would have to spend the rest of her life quietly wasting away.

But then the guard she had casually chosen years ago drew his sword and cut off the emperor’s head. He knelt before her.

He pacified the court and fought on the battlefield for her, offering a vast realm into her hands.

“Your Highness, please ascend the throne and become emperor.”
