An apocalyptic survival saga steeped in the distinctive spirit of Northeast China
Northeastern absurdist comedy + zombie apocalypse survival + drug enforcement
Border guard veteran Zhu Ge returns to his hometown, hoping for a quiet life. But when his good friend Liu Yu, a narcotics officer, begins an investigation, Zhu Ge gets caught up in a vast conspiracy. An experimental drug called “Ice Grudge,” originating overseas, is accidentally released, plunging the entire Greater Khingan Range into an apocalyptic crisis overrun by zombies.
Facing bloodthirsty infected, a cunning mastermind, mysterious foreign forces, and fellow survivors turning on one another to stay alive, Zhu Ge and his brothers form a seemingly unreliable yet unbreakable survival team: the hotheaded but loyal Sheng Ge, the brave and steadfast Huyan, and Ma Yujie, a humorous chef.
They struggle to survive in the forest towns of the Greater Khingan Range, using whatever tools they can find as weapons. Amid the bitter cold and the constant threat of death, they act out one absurdly funny yet heart-pounding scene after another.
Here you’ll find the toughest survival battles and the warmest, most down-to-earth moments of everyday life; profound questions about human nature, and an optimism and hope that never fade. This is a stirring song of heroism dedicated to ordinary people, and a unique apocalyptic epic set amid the forests and snowy wilderness of Northeast China.
This plot design is so awesome! Originally, I thought it was just an ordinary zombie survival, but I didn't expect that there were Japanese devils and the wolfish ambitions of Tsarist Russians behind the anti-drug operation! The characterization is vivid! The most awesome thing is the description of the fighting scenes, with all the punches and punches! Only someone who has been in the military or knows about fighting can write this! The plot is also full of Northeastern humor, abstraction, and comedy elements! AI can never replace handwriting! So cool! A masterpiece!
The characters are drawn with flesh and blood! The story is also compact and interesting
It's not bad, there are some flaws, but it doesn't affect the continuity of the plot. I'm looking forward to the second part. Come on, come on.
Reading this book feels like I have really returned to my youth, and the people in it are very vivid. The plot is compact and not procrastinating. There aren't many books that I can read, but it's really quite good.
