I Secretly Stockpiled Soldiers in Hell, and the King of Hell Found Out
A poem says:
Deep in the Nine Netherworlds, the gates of hell swing wide,
Iron armor gleams in silence beneath the bloodstained moss.
A reckless hand disturbs the cycle, startling the karmic mirror,
And in a storm, the Terrace of Shadows is swept away.
Chapter One: Hiding Troops by the River of Forgetfulness, Ghost General Wujiu Harbors Treasonous Thoughts
They say the Netherworld, ever since Pangu split heaven from earth, has been the destination of the dead and the place where souls are reincarnated. Above sit the Ten Kings of Hell, enforcing strict laws; below prowl the Ox-Head and Horse-Face, snatching souls and claiming lives. Gloomy winds howl and sorrowful clouds gather. It is a place where not the slightest transgression is tolerated. Yet the higher the righteous path rises, the higher evil climbs. Some souls, once overlords in life and still unwilling to yield in death, began to secretly entertain other ambitions.
Now let me tell you of a certain ghost general, surnamed Qin and named Wujiu. In life, he was a renowned guardian general in the mortal realm, commanding a million troops and holding the world in awe. But his achievements threatened the throne, and he was framed by treacherous courtiers. His entire family was executed, and he was beheaded. His heroic spirit endured, however, and descended into the underworld. The King of Hell remembered his deeds in life and spared him the tortures of the Eighteen Levels of Hell. Still, he stripped away his blessings from the mortal world, assigning him the humble rank of ghost general in the underworld. There, he commanded a squad of ghost soldiers and patrolled the banks of the River of Forgetfulness.
